If Robbie Williams proposes, Bournemouth wedding planner Melanie Kiani wants to know.

Former property lawyer Melanie decided to establish Bellissimo Weddings & Events after the property sector collapsed and believes her business will save couples money.

She invested £5,000 of her own cash into the enterprise, which covers the Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire area.

Famously single Robbie Williams owns a £7 million mansion in Wiltshire and Melanie is waiting for him to announce his wedding plans.

“If I hear of any celebrities proposing marriage I will be straight on to their agents to sell my services,” she said. “I already have two full weddings to organise and a couple of corporate events,” said Melanie, who has always had an interest in hospitality and catering.

Wedding planners are often perceived as expensive luxuries but Melanie argues that good ones effectively cover their cost as they save clients money and help them keep to a budget.

“People are being more savvy with the money they have and are being more careful because of recession,” she said, adding that she expects the business to turnover £40,000 during 2009.
