MASTERCHEF winner Mat Follas will open the second Weymouth & Portland Catering Show in October.
He will perform the honours at the exhibition for the region's hospitality and catering industry at Redlands Community Sports Hub on October 20 at 10.00am.
Mr Follas will join chefs from the south west to show off his talents in the Weymouth College Cookery Theatre during the two-day extravaganza.
The show takes place on October 20 and 21 in association with Weymouth College.
Mr Follas, who has just opened his own restaurant in Beaminster, will show off his signature dishes at the two-day show.
Show director Anna Wallis said: "It's great to have a Masterchef winner on our doorstep.
"We are passionate about raising the game for the region and Mat's presence in the area and now at the Weymouth & Portland Catering Show is a major plus."
Restaurateurs, publicans, chefs and caterers in the hospitality industry are expected to pour through the doors of Redlands for the show.
Weymouth College's catering department is sponsoring the Cookery Demo Theatre at the catering show.
Catering and hospitality lecturer Ashley Perry said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the catering department especially as we are hosting the event in our very own venue.
"The line up of chefs will include some great regional talent which in turn will inspire our students and help to build lasting relationships between education and business."
The Catering Show aims to provide a showcase for trade suppliers and for people in the hospitality and catering industry.
Chefs invited to demonstrate their skills also include Lesley Waters.
Major food suppliers have also signed up. They include Coastline Produce, Quickes, Booker Cash & Carry and Speciality Breads.
Christchurch based Coastline Produce are joining 100 suppliers, and meeting 1000 buyers involved in tourism, leisure, hospitality and catering.
Coastline is a 15m family owned business that has recently expanded, acquiring wholesalers in both Kent and on the Isle of Wight.
Managing director Chris Lewis said: "Focusing on the South naturally extends our service to the Weymouth area and we are looking forward to inviting chefs and catering managers to join us on our stand for a drink and a chat."
