Conferences, exhibitions and business events at the BIC have injected £122m into the local economy, helping to sustain around 4,400 local jobs in tourism, leisure, hospitality and retail, according to BH Live, which runs the venues.

Between April 2009 and March 2010, the BIC and Pavilion hosted 92 conferences, exhibitions and business events attracting more than 81,000 conference delegates and exhibition visitors, which generated 214,000 overnight stays in local accommodation.
