DORSET businesses that put something back into the community will be acknowledged at the 2010 Daily Echo-backed Dorset Business Awards. The Business Engagement with the Community Award, sponsored by Morgan Sindall Investments Ltd, part of the Morgan Sindall Group PLC, will acknowledge firms that are building positive links with the community.

The winner will be able to provide details of specific community initiatives, particularly those that involve employee engagement and illustrate the impact these have had on the community, employees, customers and suppliers.

The awards, supported by Wave 105, are free to enter and entrants can do so via dorsetbusinessawards.co.uk or print off an entry form and submit a paper-based entry.

The closing date for entry, which cannot be extended, is Friday, September 17.

People can now nominate firms they think deserve to be recognised. Nominated firms will be contacted and encouraged to put themselves forward.

Individual awards are judged by key business people across Dorset.
