BUS operator Wilts and Dorset cut the ribbon on one of its new buses after announcing £5.5million investment in a new fleet.
The bus company has bought 36 new single decker buses for its expanding “more” services, the M1 and M2 journeys linking Poole, Bournemouth, Castle-point and Springbourne.
Andrew Wickham, manager director, said some of the new Volvo Wright Eclipse 2 buses are already in use.
He said: “The new Eclipse 2 buses offer more comfort, with spacious interiors and are powered by the latest environmentally friendly, low-emission Euro 5 engines.”
The new 41-seat buses also come equipped with CCTV.
