Succeed or Fail in Business – Needs Positive Actions!

IT has been said, "A Butterfly flapping its wings in Peru can start a change in the weather that leads to a typhoon in China." Fear is infectious, spreads quickly and can turn out to be overwhelming and like the flapping of butterfly’s wings affecting the weather, the current economic fear started somewhere.

There will be an end to this economic crisis, started like the small motion of wings, as many positive actions add up and if -- as an individual or business -- you reach out to customers. But if you have stopped looking for opportunities to advertise, promote and adapt, you will definitely loose out and others will take your business.

We still have choices in this doom and gloom, but it can be difficult to see the opportunities and keep positive goals and the knowhow to make them happen. However if you aim at nothing in particular, you are likely to succeed and end up with nothing in particular - setting goals takes clear focus and persistence.

The dictionary definition of an opportunity is described as a “favourable time or condition, a good chance” and words associated or linked are “convenience”, “look in”, “moment”, “occasion”, “opening”, “scope” and even at this difficult time there are opportunities for all of us, you just have to look, sometimes hard, for them!

In reality, success is also based on the Law of Probabilities. A law that says there is a probability that everything can happen, and that you can influence these probabilities by doing more of the things that are more likely to lead to your success.

In sales, the sales person who makes more appointments and sees more prospects is going to make more sales than the sales person who stays in the office and shuffles his or her business cards. In life, the person who networks regularly with others is going to dramatically increase the probability that he or she will meet the right person, at the right time, with the right circumstances, which will lead to a sale that might not have happened otherwise.

The best selling book, The Secret, says that, if you visualize and think positive thoughts, you will attract good things. Unfortunately, this is not the whole picture but of course it is important that you think positive thoughts, about yourself and your possibilities, but that simply is not enough. You must take continuous action in the direction of your goals, overcoming resistance, adversity, difficulties and temporary failures until you win through.

Never ever giving up is crucial and as the saying goes, “a successful person is someone who got up one more time”.
