A DORSET school is going green, thanks to a partnership with Wessex Renewable Energy.

The company fitted solar photovoltaic panels to the assembly hall for Stower Provost School near Gillingham in a bid to reduce its electricity bills and impact on the environment by reducing CO2 emissions.

Wessex Renewable Energy is part of the Wessex Group of companies which includes Wessex Electricals and Wessex Fire and Security based in North Dorset.

The firm was invited back to the school as part of its Eco Week to provide a presentation to the children on the benefits of renewable energy.
